Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress born on November 19 1959. Throughout her career of three decades, Allison Brooks Janney has been recognized in both film and stage appearances. Janney was honored with various awards including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Seven Primetime Emmy Awards were also handed out to Janney. She was also considered for nominations to win two Tony Awards. Janney was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was born and was raised in Boston. The Kenyon College graduation earned her the opportunity to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney was first seen on TV during 1999. She appeared as C. J. Cregg as part of NBC's politic program The West Wing from 1999-2006 which earned her Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her role on the Showtime series Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress In a Drama Series. Janney has won two Outstanding Supporting Actress Awards for Comedy series and was recognized six times in the Primetime Emmy Awards.
